Welcome to my Blog!

Welcome to my blog! My name is Lysandra I am the luckiest person I know. I live and work on the windward side of beautiful Oahu, Hawaii. I love what I do. I have a terrific family that appreciates my innate need to re-create the beauty around me in photographs. My clients and their most joyful, real moments are the primary source of that beauty - and our gorgeous Oahu scenery is the perfect backdrop. My style has been described as lush, romantic, vibrant, natural, relaxed, and carefree.

Although I am based on the windward side of Oahu, I love to travel! Just ask about service across Oahu, to the outer islands, or to the mainland.

I am a proud volunteer for Operation Love ReUnited, which serves our deployed military service members and their families. I believe in giving them something to which they can hold on, during a time of letting go. I am also a member of HeArts Speaks, which connects photographers with animal rescues.

About Lysandra

I am a mother, a wife, a professor, and a photographer. I love hiking and being in the great outdoors. I love playing games with my family and laughing until I can't breathe. I am a student of the hula and love the way it challenges my mind and body. I love the nourishment hula brings to my soul. I love life and all of life's creatures.

I grew up in a tiny town in Northern California. We had horses, goats, sheep, rabbits, gerbils, chickens, cats, and various mice I saved from the cats. Growing up down a dirt road surrounded by animals has given me a deep love of nature and a connection to all animals. It has also given me a strong aversion to goat's milk.

I have a wonderful husband, two amazing children, a dog named Spike, and a cat named Charlie. Both of our pets were adopted at local animals shelters here on Oahu.

I am dedicated to giving back and am always looking for ways to use my talents to help local animal shelters. I am a proud member of HeART Speak. I have a long term relationship with Joey's Feline Friends. If you have a non-profit shelter here on Oahu let me know if you want to collaborate.

I provide on location photography services across Oahu.
