Welcome to my Blog!

Welcome to my blog! My name is Lysandra I am the luckiest person I know. I live and work on the windward side of beautiful Oahu, Hawaii. I love what I do. I have a terrific family that appreciates my innate need to re-create the beauty around me in photographs. My clients and their most joyful, real moments are the primary source of that beauty - and our gorgeous Oahu scenery is the perfect backdrop. My style has been described as lush, romantic, vibrant, natural, relaxed, and carefree.

Although I am based on the windward side of Oahu, I love to travel! Just ask about service across Oahu, to the outer islands, or to the mainland.

I am a proud volunteer for Operation Love ReUnited, which serves our deployed military service members and their families. I believe in giving them something to which they can hold on, during a time of letting go. I am also a member of HeArts Speaks, which connects photographers with animal rescues.

Waiting to Meet Daddy: Lysandra Cook Hawaii Family Photography

I have been a volunteer photographer for Op Love for just over a year. During that time I have had the opportunity to shoot many lovely families and adorable couples. I have been amazed at the love and strong family bonds I have seen at every session.

This session was no exception. I had the pleasure of shooting this beautiful new baby girl, her big sister, her mother, and her grandmother.

This little girl is such a doll. I can't wait for her daddy to have the album in his hands. I am sure he can't wait to come home and hold all of his girls.

Thank you for your dedication to this great country of ours.

I have really enjoyed being able to use my talents to give back to the families who give so much for all of us, I strongly encourage photographers to contact Op Love and see about volunteering. Op Love is a national organization and they need more photographers all over.
